Welcome to our crazy life....

When I grew up I had the wonderful benefit of living a bike ride away from both sets of grandparents. Not so lucky are our kids. Even for the actual ones that live in Atlanta, it's still a about an hours drive away! So, this blog will have to serve as the next best thing to riding our bikes to see the grandparents. Enjoy watching our kids learn and grow one day at a time...

Me and my friend

So I realized we have known eachother for 7 years but only lived in the same city for 1. 1 very crazy year in Houston, Texas. Guess time really doesn't matter when you find a really good friend. Or distance.

Saturday's show was beautiful, her grandmother was amazed and loved it. Everyone was sad it was over though, the dancers, Angella and even me. We had a reception afterwards which went really well and was a nice way to end such a great week. I head home today, I'm so excited to see my family, but sad too to leave such a fear friend again. It has been such an honor to be a part of this.

Driving thru D.C.

We had to go pick up costumes today in downtown D.C. I missed a snap of the capital. But here is the Washington monument and Lincoln memorial.

The show last night was amazing. Angella did such a wonderful job. I cried. I am so proud of her. This idea for the piece we started talking about when I met her 5 years ago. So last night to finally not just see it performed but to help with the process was such an honor. I am so thankful to be here.

One more show tomorrow

Blowing eggs

I have a new skill, blowing the insides out of an egg thru a tiny hole! Here's Angella trying it out. Her concert is Gorgeous. I am so so proud of her and so glad I can be here to see it. Tonight is openning night so please say a prayer, we are both very tired. But I fully expect it to go well. Last night our lighting director forgot a cue.... He was sucked in and watching. What a nice compliment to have someone paid to be there really enjoying it.
It starts at 730pm

On my way to Maryland

Two things I hate: the airport cars that have to continually beep while they drive. Beep beep beep beep. I can't stand it!!! Are we that stupid that we need an annoying beep to tell us to move out of the way???
And secondly, delays. So far only 20 minutes due to the flight attendents are running late. Isn't it their job to be on time?

We're done with one bedroom!

New paint on walls and trim! Amazing what new paint does to a room.... Makes the kids want to dance around and play in it!

Elizabeth's birthday lunch

Elizabeth wanted sushi for lunch on her birthday. So sushi she got! The waitress then surprised her with a dessert complete with candles! Then that night we took her to her surprise ..... Dessert at cafe intermezzo!!! You go up to the two display cases full for desserts and someone is there to tell you what they are. Then you get the drool, or ponder over which dessert to pick! She loved it. Unfortunately the only picture I took was of her huge cup of white got chocolate. Presents, sushi, and dessert twice in one day, I think her 10th birthday was a hit!
