Welcome to our crazy life....

When I grew up I had the wonderful benefit of living a bike ride away from both sets of grandparents. Not so lucky are our kids. Even for the actual ones that live in Atlanta, it's still a about an hours drive away! So, this blog will have to serve as the next best thing to riding our bikes to see the grandparents. Enjoy watching our kids learn and grow one day at a time...

My sister's wedding

Here is the beautiful bride Sarah....now Sarah Ivy! She got married two weeks ago in Memphis
and I got to be one of her bridesmaids! Check out the bow....
They were hoping the bow on my butt would even out the bump of the baby belly! Think it did a nice job.....
Here's my family. note: the shoes, I'm as tall as my brother in them! and boy did they hurt!
Here's our family, I was grateful they snapped the picture quickly, Caleb as ready to bolt!

The house

So we got the stump ground up today. Caleb was pretty sad, it was his climbing wall, he cried when they chewed it up. I tried to help him look on the bright side of things by reminding him that he still has all the tree trunks to play with. This past weekend David killed 3 chainsaws cutting up the 3 downed pine trees. The kids have used the cut pieces to make houses and such. I helped a little bit by moving the log he used to prop the trunks up with to cut. He would pick up the huge tree trunk and I would slide the tiny long down for the next cut. Teamwork! We bundled up a ton of branches and hauled all kinds of trash to the front yard. It's starting to look less like a huge storm ripped through our backyard now and more like a normal yard. I was so thankful when the garbage men took it all away yesterday, sometimes they are a bit picky about what they will and will not take. The luxury of being a garbage man in Acworth. Now we just have to figure out how to get rid of the 50 or so tree stumps....free wood anyone? And the dumpster was delivered this morning in preparation of the new roof being installed tomorrow. We are getting closer to having our house all back to normal. Now if I can just figure out how to patch yet another hole in our fabulous popcorn ceiling.....

22 weeks

So I thought it might be a good idea to keep up with my growing belly. Now that I am done performing until after the baby, I don't have to hold my tummy in anymore! Here's the bump at 22 weeks.....
Here's my beautiful first born, pondering what life will be like with two babies under 2 in our household come September!

Happy Mother's Day

I had a Fabulous Mother's Day. David made me breakfast in bed, the kids gave me homemade Mother's Day cards, and we got out the door in time for church! After church we satisfied my craving for potato salad and a dill pickle by having lunch at McAlister's. All dressed and looking nice, my last request was for a picture with my beautiful kiddos. Hope your Mother's Day was as full of love as mine!

David's birthday

So yesterday we celebrated David's birthday by going to a Braves game. We got great seats and it was Madie's first time to go. Highlights were awesome weather, kids running the bases after the game, cotton candy and peanuts. Low points Braves losing, and Madie eatting the peanut shells from under the seats! Though watching her spit them out was pretty funny. Only with a 3rd child...
