Welcome to our crazy life....

When I grew up I had the wonderful benefit of living a bike ride away from both sets of grandparents. Not so lucky are our kids. Even for the actual ones that live in Atlanta, it's still a about an hours drive away! So, this blog will have to serve as the next best thing to riding our bikes to see the grandparents. Enjoy watching our kids learn and grow one day at a time...

a few pictures from our show

just because they are so beautiful..... I love looking at them to remind me why I create a space, a place for people to come and dance and express within.

Thankful

Last Sunday I had the pleasure of experiencing the good He promises to make from a bad situation.

It was my first concert to go to in AGES, and it was Elizabeth's very first one. 10 bands and thousands and thousands of people.

Somewhere between watching her jump up and down when they played her favorite song, seeing her freak out as we watched a drummer spin upside down while drumming, the teenage girls screaming in our ears from behind and sharing cheesy nachos I started to cry.

she's a miracle, not supposed to be, almost 12 years old, beautiful and amazing.

She wants to be just like him, a singer songwriter, loving the Lord and in front of thousands and thousands of people sharing the talent she was born with.

so thankful, so very thankful to be her mom.

Gingerbread house from scratch!

So we made our own gingerbread house without using a kit, finally! We made the dough and traced and cooked the gingerbread. Then we made royal icing and decorated the entire thing. Then we assembled it and added snow! The red, green and white theme was all Elizabeth's designing!
