Welcome to our crazy life....

When I grew up I had the wonderful benefit of living a bike ride away from both sets of grandparents. Not so lucky are our kids. Even for the actual ones that live in Atlanta, it's still a about an hours drive away! So, this blog will have to serve as the next best thing to riding our bikes to see the grandparents. Enjoy watching our kids learn and grow one day at a time...

Quick update

1. I got 6 hours a sleep last night, hooray! Joshua slept till 5am, it was awesome. And waking up it a tooth less grin never gets old.

2. Madie current fad is wearing a hooded baby towel upon her head every moment of the day. We've already ruined one towel when she wore it playing outside. However, I haven't let her wear it out in public.

3. We started school this week. Its a lot to have a 6th grader, a 1st grader, a preschooler (majoring in demolishing playdoh and coloring on herself) and a tiny boy crawling around under the table trying to eat playdoh! Still trying to work out the schedule so I can help everyone with what they need. Elizabeth is super excited about her first experiment today in Science.

4. I'm in the process of creating 2 new dance pieces for Refuge and its been interesting. I've forgotten how much time it takes to get all the details handled like music(I'm using some original pieces created just for us) props(an umbrella clothes line is a neat prop but extremely hard to find) costumes(haven't even begun to figure that out except the little sun dresses at Target a. Are too expensive and b. Are not sewn correctly) and not to mention all the new movement I've been setting. Its overwhelming but a bunch of fun.

5. Looking forward to a few weeks off from teaching summer school and Refuge soon, we've got Father's day thru Fourth of July semi free. David still works and we still have school but nothing else. We'll see what we end up doing. We still haven't made it to the pool yet...
