Welcome to our crazy life....
When I grew up I had the wonderful benefit of living a bike ride away from both sets of grandparents. Not so lucky are our kids. Even for the actual ones that live in Atlanta, it's still a about an hours drive away! So, this blog will have to serve as the next best thing to riding our bikes to see the grandparents. Enjoy watching our kids learn and grow one day at a time...

1st day of summer begins
Last night was my last night to teach, yipee! So my summer vacation officially started today and I've hurt my back! I've been laying down most of the day because it is so tight and cramped. The kids however are painting their new walking sticks, or swords or fishing poles, or whatever they want it to be for the day! I took them to walmart earlier this week and we re stocked our craft supplies. and for some reason I thought it would be good to get 3 foot long wooden sticks for each of the kids...I'm not going to tell you have many times Madie has hit me with hers already. But its ok. We've got a ton of summer reading planned to here's to a summer full of imagination and fun!

update
1. this is very crazy busy time of year. I have something on everyday of my calendar!
2. NY was great, Project Dance went really well even though it was colder then normal. Joshua went with David and I and the others stayed in Atlanta with my mom. We got to see a ton of old friends so it was especially enjoyable this time around.
3. Joshua can wave now, though I don't think he knows why you wave. He just hangs his arm out and waves it back and forth all day long. Still not crawling, but he can lift his back up very well and roll around while on the floor. He sits, but we have to keep a hand on his back because he will just nose dive forward at a moment's notice.
4. Madie is growing, her language is really taking off. Lately I've been trying to cure her of the horrible phrase "I want" which of course she says every other second and in a whiny tone. We are replacing it with "Please may I have ...." it's amazing to her a little 2 year old say that sentence, my mind flashes back to holding her as a newborn and I think where did all the time go?
5. Caleb has more energy then I ever though 1 little boy could have. He is getting really good at riding his scooter as well as his bike. Always has a scrape on him somewhere and always asking me a question.
6. Elizabeth is super grown up and tall. 5 feet now and wears a size 7 1/2 in Ladies shoes, crazy! She is such a great help and so patient with the little ones. We are taking a break from guitar through the summer because our schedule is so wild but she is progressing nicely with it.
7. We are on break from school till June. Then I shall tackle 6th grade, 1st grade and pre-k (teaching Madie number, letters, etc.) It's going to be interesting.
8. Refuge has a lot going on right now. We are doing some outreach classes with local ministries, helping open a studio down south and frantically trying to finish choreography before we take our break in May. I need more hours in the day.
9. David's b-day is in a little less then two weeks. I can't believe it is almost May.
10. My mom and the kids planted Impatience in our back yard while we were away, it's awesome. I don't know when I would have found the time.....
